Yvonne Darpoh Policy Analyst
As policy analyst, Yvonne Darpoh supports the Federal Strategy team’s advocacy on a myriad of legislative and regulatory issues, including budget and appropriations, transportation and infrastructure, and science policy. In collaboration with the Office of Interdisciplinary Initiatives, she co-manages various signature programs, including the Johns Hopkins Health Policy Forum and Congressional Briefing Series. She investigates policy topics and prepares analyses, talking points, and presentations, in addition to maintaining the office’s web presence and increasing social media engagement.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Yvonne served as assistant director for governmental affairs at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, where she managed the Council on Governmental Affairs, a group comprising federal relations representatives across 220 colleges and universities. In that role, she helped coordinate the organization’s international, immigration, and humanities advocacy priorities. Yvonne received her BA in government and politics from the University of Maryland. Outside work, she enjoys trying different seafood restaurants and watching tennis.
